Redesigning the Main Navigation in The Bottle Admin Dashboard
We've introduced a cleaner, more simple design.
We’ve known for a while that we had work to do on getting around the Bottle dashboard. Over the past few months, we’ve made significant progress on making the dashboard simpler to use for local business owners.
Today, we’re taking that one step further with the introduction of a revamped design for the main navigation. Our purpose at Bottle is to help local businesses build an audience, grow a subscriber base and sell to that group of supporters on a continued basis. This new design aligns dashboard actions with those goals and makes the product easier to use.
For those of you that have become used to the current design - no sweat, all the tabs are still around, they are just organized differently. Below we’ll outline each section and how the navigation has changed.
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll see.
Section Headers:
Dashboard
Messages
Audience
Sell
External Store Link and Help
Dashboard
The dashboard contains three sections. The activity tab is where you find orders, the reports tab lets you download important information and the guides tab provides useful information for getting started and exploring new features.
Messages
Messages is where you will find your individual contacts and conversations, additionally all of your one-to-one conversations will happen here.
Audience
Manage your existing lists, create new lists, and schedule new messages to really drill down on your various customer groups from the audience tab. The “all contacts” button takes you to the all contacts list so you can get an overview of your account.
Sell
This is where all your e-commerce management happens. View your existing stores, create new ones, and manage all of your store settings from this dropdown.
External Store Link
View the frontend store selection screen as well as manage minor customer-facing information such as your business’s logo and name from this link.
