It doesn’t hurt to ask (for more reviews)
This week’s tip: getting more reviews significantly increases credibility and site rank.
One of the key mistakes we see meal delivery owners make is their hesitancy to ask for a review.
The idea that you will somehow grow your business without engaging customers for help is wishful thinking.
IMO, you should be spending 1-2 hours a week messaging customers, requesting feedback on their experience, and asking for a review.
Let me show you the difference between a business with limited Google reviews for it’s size and one with great, plentiful Google reviews.
You can see that the business with more and better reviews shows up first in Google Places (the very top of search results), whereas the second business doesn’t even make it to the first page under Places.
A huge difference.
One that can lead to more, or less, sales depending on your rank.
Here’s one way to phrase asking for a review from our most recent coffee chat with Ben Lund of Rise MKG.
The first step is asking if the customer had a positive experience. And if they did, then share how important reviews are for a small business and say “would you mind taking 3 minutes to write a review on Google?”.
The business with more reviews usually ranks higher.
So, will you spend time asking for feedback and reviews this week?
